At Sankofatech, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation of Black technology professionals through our Achievers in Technology (AIT) program. We believe in breaking down barriers and providing opportunities for underrepresented youth to pursue their dreams in the tech industry. To lead this transformative initiative, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Program Manager to join our team.

About the Achievers in Technology Program

The Achievers in Technology (AIT) program is a comprehensive four-year scholarship and mentorship program designed to cultivate the next generation of African technology leaders in the United States. We address the root causes of underrepresentation in tech by providing access to knowledge, mentorship, and resources to empower young Black students to pursue their aspirations in this field. Lead Program Manager Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic objectives aligned with Sankofatech’s mission and vision.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Achievers in Technology program, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with program goals. 
  • Lead the program team, providing guidance, motivation, and performance management to achieve program objectives. 
  • Develop and implement program strategies that foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for AIT participants. 
  • Track and measure program outcomes, utilizing data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve program effectiveness. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, universities, and community leaders. 
  • Contribute to fundraising initiatives, assisting with donor cultivation, proposal/grant writing, and related activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in program management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful programs, demonstrating a solid understanding of program design, implementation, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong collaborations with diverse stakeholders, including youth, mentors, partners, and donors.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring effective planning, prioritization, and task delegation. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and a collaborative spirit. 
  • Passion for empowering Black college students to succeed in technology, aligning with Sankofatech.com’s mission and values.

Salary and Benefits

  • Monthly salary of $500, with potential for increases based on performance and achievement of program KPIs. 
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of Black college students and contribute to the advancement of diversity in the tech industry. 

Location:

  • Fully remote work arrangement (must be able to work U.S hours)

Note: This is a full-time role and we are looking for someone who can be part of the team for at least 3 years.
